Description
I have used my lighthouse design from yesterday's upload to create an extremely foggy early morning view...where one can hear the distant trump of the fog horns blaring and the tower's light has not yet been extinguished. This is the look I wanted to achieve with yesterday's render however the fog plane was not working to my satisfaction. I have also eliminated a few things and added a few other objects to the render.
Much thanks to Tony (Tanglimara) for the insight into just how to create a fog plane and achieve the look I was after.

This looks WAY too familiar - my coast is a VERY foggy one; this is a great render, really true to life!! I can almost hear the foghorns!

Great image Keith. The fog is excellent... and of course, this is were the lighthouse really has to pump out that light, so there is a sense of futility and desperation creeping in. Well done!

Seems like you nailed the panel dead straight with the fog Keith. I'm in awe in this change you've made in adding such a realistic foggy atmosphere with your lighthouse model. The POV gives a good scaling of the lighthouse against the rest of the terrain and trees etc. Muis

excellent fog and lighting
This gives it a completely different feel than the first iteration. As much as I miss the sky you did, this is awesome too. It now feels almost scary or mysterious. Thank you!
Superb fog and I can hear those horns in the distant but getting closer all the time. Excellent atmospheric work...
