It's late
And I should
Go to sleep
Get some rest
But no my brain
Just keeps going
Makes me think
Keeps me awake
I get all these ideas
All these thoughts
I have these dreams
And I'm not asleep
I dream of the perfect
Life full of everything
Good and full of
Happy times and
I dream of the perfect
Place the place that
Soars that takes
Me to
That spot in my heart
That's still not quite
Full but has so
Much to give
So I'm awake
Dreaming of all
Kinds of things
My mind just flows
Until finally
My body takes
Over and I sleep
And really dream
Of so many things

Very nice one Marilyn dear! well I have an excuse why I am always awake these wee hours.... eXtreme insomnia! lol but I do not mind, I get more productive theses hours... yes I am for sure a night owl lol :-) Very beautiful photo I see! :-) have a great weekend! Simply beautiful
The dreams consist, among other things, of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. You realize that even though the body sleeps, the brain never does, which is why we dream. This includes other mammals, as well. Anyway, in addition to your eloquent prose, I love the mystic blue image.
