Description
This shot of the eclipse shows the moon leaving the earth's shadow. I find it interesting that the upper right edge was the last to go into the shadow, but the bottom edge was the first to come out. From here in the northwest US the moon must have passed fairly close to the edge of the shadow, rather than through the middle of it.
I was surprised and honored by the number of views and comments on yesterday's eclipse photo, since I was rather disappointed in the quality.

Amazing capture as always
wonderful capture!
Fantastic capture.
Excellent shot!! I went outback to see it and only got a weenie look because of too much cloud cover. Wonderful photo!!
That's awesome! It's amazing to think of the Earth casting a shadow like that. There's something inherently fascinating about the whole thing. No wonder we all run out to look!
Superb shot! PaxSV
Beautiful capture...

Impressive capture, Dennis. I missed it here. Thank you for showing us all. Diane.
Awesome image!
Amazing. Were you using a telescope with these images? It feels so up close and personal :)
Superb!
Great capture! Perfectly composed and perfect timing. Well done
Fantastic Image!!!
very nice capture. Very nice indeed.
Wow...this is an amazing shot...wish my sky had been clear. Very well done Dennis.
Wow, the clarity in this is amazing. I think it proves the moon isn't made of cheese ...looks more like a cantalope to me.
Amazing capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another excellent documentation Dennis. Just as the eclipse started clouds moved in and obscured the moon and we actually had a thunderstorm during the entire time the eclipse lasted. I don't think I would have attempted to take a picture anyway, but I didn't even get to see it. Thanks for sharing, Sig...
Ah but see you captured it and lots of others were unsuccessful! I passed around your photo URL to a few friends who had taken photos but they didnt turn out L Excellent capture as always! and I thank you for sharing
Very very nice
It is not often we get to see these occurrences. I am glad so many people got some great shots of the Lunar Eclipse. Great capture. Aloha
