Description
View of Hong Kong, an economic and financial powerhouse, seen from Victoria Peak. Victoria Harbor and Kowloon are in the distance and partially obscured by sea mist.
Victoria Peak is located on the Western half of Hong Kong Island and is 552m high. Land values on the Peak are the highest in the world, with the super rich living there. The desire to live on the Peak started before the time of air-conditioning, to get away from the steamy sub-tropical summer months. This picture was taken in January 1996 and was later scanned.
