Description
This brownie lives at the Cleveland, Ohio, USA zoo. A previous image is in my gallery. With not a decent photo lately but one cute coot, I looked and found this lovely guy. Sad eyes perhaps.
These are quite formidable amimals, very quick on foot and large and strong. Also, very beautiful. I would want to see these in the wild, from a safe distance.

I agree with all you said, and yes this is a fabulous capture of a wonderful and beautiful creature - hugs Jane xx
WOW Look at those claws. They look like daggers. Great shot Tom.
that is awesome :)
Gorgeous shot of a magnificent animal.
gorgeous!
This could be a painting--you found such wonderful texture contrasts between the bears fur and the wall and the log in the foreground! A wow for the claws:-0
Wonderful fellow! I agree I'd love to see them in the wild, at a safe distance. I try to see them in Yosemite National Park, but have not yet. The park rangers keep saying to keep an eye out for the bears, as they are frequently seen, but they must hide from me on purpose!! lol!!!
oh this is priceless what a wonderful pose love it !!!
Excellent image! Love his paws... seems he's posing for you!

Hey neighbor :) Great picture.. I agree with your statement I might like to see them in the wild .......but at a very safe distance.. I have seen a lot of black bears..
He is majestic. Look at the length of those claws. He definitely demands respect. Awesome shot.
Since I will be back in my birth place of Cleveland this July, and taking my grandson to see family never seen and places never imagined, I might stop by the zoo. This shot makes me what to go. Bears are right up there with Hippos as my favorite zoo creatures and its been almost 45 years since I was at the Cleveland zoo. Stunning shot that really emphasizes those claws and burly build.
I have loved and honored this magnificient animals since I lived in Montana and saw grizzlies...This is a fantastic shot, it has an element to it that is magical in light and tone. Great capture!
Actually, he looks happy to me. The claws are very impressive. Excellent shot, Tom.
