Description
Ion Propulsion Full Thrust! This is retrofit engines for the USS Lewis & Clark. This ship is on a deep space mission to the 7th planet in our solar system Neptune. This ship was originally outfitted with chemical propulsion engines but due to the maximum speed of only a little over 10,000 MPH was refitted with NASA first fully functional Ion thruster.
These engines are capable of a maximum thrust 7 times that of chemical propulsion engines or just over 70,000 MPH. By refitting the ship with these engines this will cut the journey to Neptune by over 13 months. This will be the first in a new series showing the USS Lewis & Clark trip to Neptune. I also hope to have a render of the USS Ben Franklin as it nears Saturn but so far every time I get to around 20 % rendered the system locks up

if you need some one to render it if you want i can render it on my network
Great model. Was it really done in Bryce?
Fantastic model David! It looks "real" and functional and your nurnies look like they are all there for a reason, not just some illogical "eye candy". I, for one, am in awe of the work you do in Bryce, not the easiest app to model in!
