Description
Beware, there's a monster out there, and these are his tracks. If you go down this muddy path, you'll find these huge, scary, nasty looking prints. Follow them, quietly, carefully, and NEVER in the dark. If you are lucky, you'll see one, but don't get in his way. For it's the beast, the creature, it's that bug, huge, ugly MACHINE that opens it enormous mouth and swallows tons of gravel and sand; it's the SCRAPER, and it means business!!!!!

I like the shadow play and textures.it was a gas guzzling beast no doubt
Excellent shadow play and work.
the way you describe this beast i dare`nt even look at the pic :o)..looks a bit heavy to say the least with the depth of them prints .excellent capture marilyn mick
This closeup makes reality look surreal and abstract. Excellent!
I like what you've done to the colours!
LOL, Nice storyline with the photo!!!
I like the genre you have placed this one into, Marilyn. Perfect for it. We had huge shovels here in the East a few years ago which were used for mining operations. They were the size of a small office building and literally 'walked' from place to place. They were called 'walkers' in fact.
Great title !!!!!! Gives a surprising story to a great image !!!!!!!
Just love it! Most excellent photo, great title, imaginative tale. : )
This is an excellent shot and love the texture and abstract look to it too. I also love your very creative intro dear Marilyn - forgive my lack of comment I am looking though so I am still here and enjoying your fabulous diverse and creative gallery - hugs Jane xx
A very graphic description Marilyn sounds like it might be one like I used to drive, building motorways, but most of mine had tracks not wheels. This sounds like it might be a shovel that bends in the middle? Not sure of this though. Excellent capture beautiful texture. Bravo!!!!!
Great capture of the great beast tracks, I like the shadows and texture and agree it makes quite an abstract piece of work.
Haha very cool upload Marilyn!!! lovely shot as well :-)
this is cool . makes a great texture
Hahahaha, I loved the story behind the shot. From the thumbnail, I thought it was part of the Chinese New Year Dragon.....Guess I was wrong. Love the shadows and textures too. Aloha Glad you got to see Mauna Kea on your flight before...
Great vision to see the way the tractors wheels left these marks in the sand.. Well done :)
a fabulous abstract!
LOL! Great story! I love what you've done with this. Wonderful job!
Excellent capture of these beast tracks, the blue shadows adds a nice touch to your picture. Todd
Love the contrast and textures. Beautiful Work, Awesome Eye!!
You found my tracks huh? Aloha
marvellous shadow and texture shot
Beautifully written and I LOVE the image that goes with it. What's so funny about this is you've taken something so utterly familiar and turned it into something else just by shifting viewpoint...just a wee little bit! Fantastic! I love that, and the image itself has a wonderfully surreal quality. The blue tint gives it the appearance of snow OR sand! I like that ambiguity, and of course the color in general intrigues the science fiction writer in me. I just thought: "Oh so that's how sand would look on a planet circling a B-Type star!" Sometimes I wonder about me.
the blue shadows and the curves make this iamge pop! nice job Mo!
