LOL, I think you're right, Errol, he's probably laughing at these silly humans and their funny cameras!! Are these lava trees just on one part of the mountain, or are they everywhere?
Marilyn...I've seen lava trees in other areas of the volcano but I think you have a whole lot more on this Keanakako'i Crater trail. This side of the crater is just full of them. Thanks for asking....Aloha

Very funny:) That poor Prairie dog heard that lava coming and popped up to take a look.....then splat!!! Instant rock formation. Okay maybe not so Bugs Bunny and Road Runner. :0) Great picture none the less.
