What I attempted to detail with this render is the wet-rock look caused by the melting of Winter's snow and ice as Spring begins to arrive.

Love the water – best I've seen for some time. Just right for your title of 'Spring Thaw'. It looks cold and icy - like it's drawn the snow off the hills and is content to deal with it in its own good time.

Great piece of work...it's funny, I can't decide if this strikes me as "otherworldly" or "primordial." Either way, I like it, especially the wet texture of the rock. The water itself is fantastic as well, and the glistening effect on the rock is fantastic.
