Description

Finished ( except the seats )!!!! One of the most difficult meshes work for me since I began car modeling : the purety of the design of this car is fabulous and you don't have to make any mistake. The DS design has been made in 1953-1955 by Flaminio Bertoni, an italian designer who created the 7CV-11CV-15CV design in 1935-1936. This car is always beautiful and was a technologic revolution in the 50's: brakes, clutch, steering and springing were hydraulic!!! The render has been made with VUE6 INF and a Dosch Design HDRI pict as a background. Hope you will like....

JC aka Yorek

Absolutely superb! I had to think of something other than Awesome - that seems to be my choice word. My Brother works on cars all day long for a living, I bet if I showed him this he would think it was real and try to find some body damage on it somewhere - lol. I like you comment on my picture saying I must have nightmares... I gotta tell you, other than stress in my life I have a very peaceful night when I sleep... Maybe it's because I do believe in Heaven but have a hard time believing that souls go to Hell. As far as bringing up nightmares, this picture would give me a nightmare because it looks so real and you have it parked on the railroad tracks - lol... Great work and I'm glad you parked it on the tracks so I could go full circle with the nightmare comments. Fantastic post. YOU HAVE BEEN FAVORITIZED!!!

Ride height and attitude is hard to get with this one since it was adjustable!! Some of the Pallas had V-6's. I saw one in the 80's and it crept into me that I should make some effort to buy it. Just to deal with hydraulics like on large airplanes. Some Lincolns of that era had haydraulic windshield wipers in addition to convertible top. Oh well, I moved on to 10,000 psi hydralics on the B-1 and cars went for a static pressure form of anti-lock brakes to mimic the airplanes. Nothing says French like a Citroen, whether it be the DeGaulle look of this or the flic in the earlier Black Mariahs with dexter grille stripe.

I too thought it's a painting! I'm just started in 3D... and only if I were 30 years younger would I get that good!!! All I can say is WOW!!! Excellent work! You must do this for a living, right!

so very photo-realistic, and it looks so elegant in the rather bleak setting. i think Bertoni did the 2CV also ?

Excellent choice again. I have tried to do a 55 DS but despite starting from scratch twice never got too far. Tallpindo will be happy to know that this car's wheelbase equaled the 55 Lincoln's. Now let's see a Traction Avant!
