Description
A simple aircraft portrait for people who, like me, love aeroplanes. My friends say I should stick to ships, but ships don't fly.

Very nice A-10! There was a time long ago when I'd see those things frequently. This one appears to painted for European or North American service.
Lovely clean image and one of my favourite aeroplanes the A10. Must do some planes myself soon.

I met it as the A-X in a RAND presentation. When I saw the GAU-8 in person (at the USAF museum as I remember) I was amazed at the fragility of the drive system and the huge space it would occupy for ammunition drum and feeds. Just looking at the image now and being away from all the controversy is refreshing.
