Description
BIKER CHICK
There she goes
That wild woman on the bike
She goes whizzing past
Like a frenzied breeze
There she goes
Grinnin from ear to ear
The wind in her hair
And sometimes in her face
There she goes
Riding past the river
Past the fields
Past the cattle that gaze placidly
There she goes
With her camera in her hand
Looking for that perfect shot
Looking for the perfect picture
Here she comes
That wild woman on the bike
She's coming back
With a smile on her face
1/21/08--for mikey, my biker friend!!!

i can just imagine you flying round on a bike camera in hand :o)..fantastic words marilyn poetry in motion :o) mick
One wonders, is this like a self portrait, like a self poem? Like Mick says, I too coulod just imagine you tearing about camera at the ready. Wonderful poem. Bravo!!!!!
Here she comes when she's ridin down the street, Singin Uuu wa didi didi dum didi do!!! What happened to the pic, I wanted to se the larger one ;^D Nice Poem. You must be flooding over!!!
Nothing better than the breeze on your face...well.. maybe a warm breeze..) a well done piece of prose above...
I can see you on the bike, Marilyn, a wonderful piece of writing. It has a great beat to it. I feel like dancing :-) Hugs. Diane.
Very nice...you make it easy to picture on you that bike! Umm what kind of bike are we talkin bout here? Have you a motorcycle? Too cool! If so you are my hero! I've always wanted to be a biker chick. But alas, I can ride neither the peddle nor motor kind.
This time you make us use our brains and imagination, very clever. I love the poem and I have a view of you tearing around the countryside on your bike. hugs Jane xx
very cool!
Nice concept, but I was fully expecting a chick on a bike photograph! Fine prose in this narrative, which others mistake for a poem. I believe it would fall into the category of an ode.
wonderful. I love biker chicks
Wow! This is fabulous! The rhythm is awesome. Every time you say "there she goes," I can see her whizzing by. Nice!!
There's so much left for us to imagine! Pedals or an engine, Did she get the shot... It seems so wild and free spirited, it feels that the ride alone is enoughand the perfect shot is added bliss. Wonderful picture you've painted here!
Ooh, I missed this one, but I am glad I found it now...great image and wonderful text...I love the repetitive nature the opening lines in each stanza...fantastic reinforcement, but each stanza has its own, somewhat different cadence...great. And the image that accompanies the text wonderfully done!
