A recurring character from a Hawkmoon campaign, a variant of the RPG Stormbringer, set in the “Tragic Millennium Earth” of Michael Moorcock’s novels. “Valora eyed the alluring outcast as she lowered her weapons. “Just what do you have in mind?” she purred. “I’m sure we can think of something,” Victoria replied playfully. “And what of your “playmates”?” Valora nodded toward Syn and Narmir, who stood dumb-founded by the unexpected turn of events. “I’ve heard that Cats only “play” with each other,” Victoria smiled seductively, seizing on the Cat’s metaphor, “but I’m sure they can teach you a few new “games” you’ll enjoy.” “Perhaps,” Valora nodded, a wicked smile growing on her lips, “but how do I know I can trust you!” “You can’t!” Syn snapped, tired of the innuendo. “No more then we know we can trust you! But the alternative is death… yours or ours… and your kind have not faired well on that account.” Victoria and Valora both turned a baneful eye on the Dragon Lord, who had abruptly ended their game. “Well,” Victoria turned back to the Cat, “shall we “play”,” raising her hand to her breast, “or shall we “play”?” raising her sword…” A loyal sister of the order of the Cat, spies and assassins of King-Emperor Huon, Valora has dispatched as many Granbretans deemed disloyal to the Dark Empire as foreign foes. As seductive, coy and hedonistic as her order’s totem, she is as deadly as she is beautiful. Isolated from even the other beast-orders, Valora and her sisters can trust no-one, not even the King-Emperor they serve. Sent to Parye to hunt down the leaders of the “Resistance”, Valora discovers that Daeron Syn still lives, when she encounters him, Victoria of Wight and Narmir. Tempted to betray the Dark Empire, Valora uses Victoria’s seduction to infiltrate the resistance cell, but Syn uncovers her true intention before she can strike. Although she escapes onto the streets of Payre, with-out her mask she is mistaken for a Paryesian and is attacked and brutalized by a gang of drunken Hound order warriors, before the companions can catch her. Left near dead by the Hounds, she is imprisoned by the resistance cell, who can not risk her identifying them. I've been working on this one since before New Year's... it's hard enough to find an outfit that looks like light armor and covers the entire body (not that I'm opposed to showing lots of skin... but Granbretans hate the sun), but trying to get the Millennium Cat's head to fit like a mask was maddening!
