Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
This is the last Dragonfly I managed to get a shot of this year. I saw a few others as late as after Thanksgiving but no opportunity to get close to them.
This is the only photo I have ever gotten of a female Roseate Skimmer and possibly the only time I ever saw one, lol. I only managed to get my first image of a male just a few weeks before this female showed up. The mature males of this species are bright pink.

Lee! What have you done here!? This is incredible. The pov has me looking right down the back of the neck like I've never seen it before! And wing detail and glossiness is fabulous! You may feel lucky to have captured this but I feel lucky too that I got to see it this close up.

Fantastic pov Lee, I'm always amazed at Dragonfly shots that show the wing details like this. Those gossamer wings are so beautiful, the design of this little critter is second to none. The wing assembly looks like its been engineered by craftsmen. I have to agree with PJ(I usually do), I feel honoured to see it up close like this. The clarity and detail is out of this world. Excellent work and presentation. Bravo!!!!!
