Description
Background is a digital photo that I took yesterday. Temperature was 27 and the wind chill 17. The road is the actual road that runs between my backyard and the wooden fence of the Shawnee Country Club, a private golf course that I an enjoy visually but am not allowed to walk upon because I am not and will never be a member. Don't get me wrong; I'm just not a joiner by nature. They've always been good neighbors, though, and we love to watch their Fourth of July Fireworks Display. Occaisionally, I or my wife find a golf ball in our backyard. None through a window--yet--in eighteen years. We usually give the balls back when we've collected a bowl full.
We see all kinds of sights out there. My wife and I refer to the golfers as the "wildlife." They can certainly be entertaining to watch. Sometimes, we see someone walking down the lane. Mostly, it's folks who work there in the kitchens or dining room either going to or from work.
Anyway, the driveway or lane or whatever it is, is actually a 3D object. I took about 140 pictures of it in approximately 2 foot squares, then pieced it all together in PSP. Used the finished texture to create the object in Bryce 6. Figure is DAZ's V4 with MAB's "Winter Clothes for V4" and the hair. Skin mat is "Helena."
Spent all night making the road and the background. Went to bed about 6 am and slept until 2:30 pm!--and I'm a guy who normally sleeps six to seven hours tops!!
Hope you like it as well as I do. This will be my 399th posting, so the next one will be the BIG 400!
Jeremy

it is an exceptional capture and perfect background for your lady. she seems to be dressed for the weather.here locally some thiefs were hiding in tall grass by a golf course and robbing the golfers.we have forecasted a low in the 20's and a definite wind chill
Very nice job on the walkway. When I first saw it, I just figured you did a poser image with an image backdrop... but now you've got your very own asphalt prop!
Very Cool Composition, Today the sun shines here in Germany with the first "Frost" of the month, you have a fantastic backyard view, I like your referring to the golfers as "wildlife" hehe !! Excellent !!!
It is cold, but she have a warm Jacket :-)
a beautiful work thanks greetz smillinfaces
You live with beautiful surroundings, my friend. I find this cool, the way you have merged these two media. And I'm glad that none of you has been hit by a golf ball so far. :)
The road and background you have blended very well, Jeremy, the only thing that really stands out for me is the strength of her shadow on the ground, which does not tarry in with the rest of the scene. Nice idea though.
Well done Jeremy!
Jeremy! That road is absolutely fabulous! I just love really non-uniform things like that. Any chance of it becoming a freebie at all? You made the road from 140 parts??? Stunning!
great image...great lighting
Wow to your road building...that's an amazing feat...and well worth the effort from the almost perfect image...like steve100 I find her shadow unsettlingly strong...maybe a soft shadow sun might be a better choice, and the angle of her shadow doesn't seem to match up with the fence's shadow, noticable to me at least on the left post. Other than that...stellar.. ...
That is executed very well Jeremy, apart from the girl one cannot see whats 3d and what is not, very realistic
Beautiful scene, excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
