Description
It's pronounced "slash" "a". It's the past tense of "a" "slash". In missile firing parlance it means "acknowledge." When Atoms for Peace was dismantled in the late 50's the only use for nuclear material was as bombs. This might seem contradictory. You can point to thermal isotope generators on space probes and medical uses of Technitium 99 as violating that policy. I would offer this image to you as an alternative to one of a blindfolded woman with a kilogram in one pan and a light year in the other. You might screw up your face and say that the other pan should hold a lightning bolt to represent electon-volts or some other energy not some distance but I would assure you that on a given date at a given time the measure is in light-years.

I still see this type of plane once in a while flying over Dallas.the detail on the engine is exceptional
Excellent and creative realization....!!!
"Crank up the..." oh never mind! Great food for thought! Hopefully we will start using geothermal technology like the Icelanders. If I am guessing right, you modeled the plane? Great job! I know you are a patient modeler, more so than I.
The airplane I got on Maxrealms. It is an old chestnut from some other server but that was a convenient place to get it. I modelled the engines and cowls and propellors and pitch controls because it needed a bit more technical expertise fitting the NACA and NPL. It is interesting here because it was lost for a while on my drive but has textures for 3ds that work well with Poser if you can just find where they are. After I lost them I made my own textures but was very happy yesterday when I saw them sitting outside the folder the zip had written to. Eureka!! Anyway, I never made my own windows in the polygons even when the textures were lost. I learned about some new UV mapping and saving issues in Carrara. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. See, here is the deal on models featuring my old rivals, this one is a design by Kelly Johnson who was an alumni of the college I got my degree from. I have stood outside that wind tunnel when it was running. It supposedly was too small for modern work that went to NASA Ames and high speed work at Langley in my era. Don Douglas did his work at MIT and Cleveland (Lewis?). In 1971 I sat across the speakers table from Kelly Johnson and his newly married 9th wife listening raptly to Col. Robin Olds talking about Wheelus. What are those folks at Lockheed up to today? I keep saying Sagem when I mean Safran. Will LASI ever truly go home? She was making A-4s in Singapore last I heard then there was much wining and dining in Europe and a twittering and fluttering about that handsome devil the F-35 while Eurofighter and Rafale skulked in the wings swishing their ceremonial swords. More late'? Perhaps a pinch?
wonderful looking image and great work once again::
I hope she jump down before take of... lol lol. Superb work:-)hugs sessan
real good make over modelling you did here
reminds me of the 'ol Trimotor, but not quite...;) keep 'em flying.
The engine and cowl fit well. Although a bit shiny for that particular engine(lots of oil) nice model.
Well done!
A great place to sit and sip a cup of tea !
