Description
On the road of Saly-Portugal, south of Dakar on the coast, a heavily loaded cart is being pulled by a single donkey. The painful condition of animals in Senegal, a country which does not produce petrol, reflects the condition of most of men, the comfort of life of the huge majority of whom is restricted to a minimum. Thanks to people who commented my two last photos of this Senegal series:
Techdata: Nikon D70 first model with Nikkor 3.5-4.5/18-70 Pro ED at 38mm, ISO 200, aperture-priority automatic, 1/125s at f/14, sun white balance. Slight postwork in Photoshop CS3 Extended to lighten the dark tones (Image > Adjustments > Dark and light tones). I suppressed some electric wires with the Clone Stamp. Do not miss my next posts of this African photographic series… but take care because the two next photographs will have an advisory content, and they may not be good for youngsters. By this series I want to suggest, approaching Christmas holidays, to keep a sweet heart and a concern for poor and suffering people, who are living in hard conditions, on the same planet than us.

Interesting. DPH
Good point of view and very good photo!! I think they need more water in Senegal!
My friend has several mules on his ranch. He doesn't utilize them for burden but it turns out they make excellent watchdogs!!
Wonderful point of view , an excellent shot.
Excellent photo and I just have to feel a bit sorry for the donkey. It appears that he leads a very hard life as does his master. Well done!
fantastic shot, awesome image!
Very well done and detail is fine; one must view the large image to appreciate it all.
Talk about rollin in the hay and sticks!!! Cool!
What a fantastic shot. How did he get up there ? :)))
Chanson traditionnelle, bravo
Nice shot!
Excellente la photo !
outstanding capture of culture
Oui.
a very interesting and nice capture. Fantastic!!!!
Wow Awesome shot! I really really love this, so expressive
I really like the little low-angle POV... Excellent photo !
Egalement super image pleine de symboles.
Fantastic! Gorgeous work !!!!!!! ROBY ;o)
It seems they both have hard work to do...
This is a wonderful image (as are all in this series), both sad, tragic and yet comical at the same time. I'm guessing that load isn't nearly so heavy as it looks and, despite having a hard life, the little donkey looks well cared for.
Splendid capture! The antithesis of the yellow wellington rubber boots with the old fashioned vehicle and cargo makes that photo very interesting.
Fantastic stuff!! Clouseau loves those wellys.
Wow! This is amazing. Well done!
5++++ In lmy fav!
