Description
Yesterday, I was very happy : PJ (MrsLubner) could immediately identify the Morrocan music instrument in my picture !
So, today, your challenge is :
Can you identify this one, faster than PJ ?
LOL

Wonderful portrait shot.
Bizzzzzzzzzzz
My guess, since I've not seen these before but heard about them is that it is the Jawzah - a four-string, spike-fiddle with a sound box that is part of a coconut shell covered with skin, although this looks like one heck of a BIG coconut - I originally thought it was a thick-type of long-neck gourd. And, once again, this character portrait is really rich in emotion, personality and fabulous new lessons in another culture.
Très belle composition et beau postwork. Encore un superbe portrait. Je me demande bien à quoi sert le petit poignard qu'il porte avec lui : il n'est pas très rassurant :-) Bon week-end Virginie
I don't like the look of that knife he has,if he's busking and you don't give him money...look out! great shot, but no idea on the instrument
Another good capture and great postwork. Like to see that Jambiya's craftmentship a bit closer.
very neat postwork indeed.... wonderful portrait too
Excellent picture. Uhhhh, Banjo?.. :) Todd
I can't imagine how they play the instruments you have shown. The sound in the busy streets must have been wonderful. Fine shot!
great people shot and out of frame work.
Nope have no idea as far as getting it as quick as PJ it wont happen. I love the people I have seen through your lens though. Great shot. Thanks for sharing. Karen
Great person pic!!
Très belle image Michel. Tout comme Valérie, je pense aussi qu'un arrière plan un peu plus flou aurait apporter un plus à la photo.
Good work and portrait again erland
Excellent capture, very beautiful!!!!!!!!!
very nice.
One minute the hold the instrument.. than they shoot with gun at taliban amazing !
Ah le beau relief ! L'aoud ici assez artisanal a de très belles sonorités (je pense à une chanson de Cohen : Who by fire dans son CD "Cohen Live...je vais te l'envoyer). Bravo encore
Love how you present your images...Hugs
ILs ont de différents intruments dont j'ai jamais vu:) très beau Michel!
wow... I got here late, but couldn't beat PJ anyhow. Amazing!!
