Description
I am still experimenting. I hope to duplicate the "silk" or rice paper background look in my previous image. It seems, the original background is the key and must be very carefully chosen when the shutter is pushed.
I feel this and the previoius image as gentle, comforting after a run of photos of heavier thought.

Great approach Tom. The previous is still my fav, but this one has a lot going for it as well. Whereas nothing overly stood out in the last one, this time you have a strong primary subjec tin the big leaf. It gives it a different feel.
I like this. Playing with a photo, trying to get it to look like something else in a reasonably realistic way, is harder than it looks! You've done a great job with this. Nice work!

Excellent idea, but I was thinking this would make a wonderful puzzle! I don't know what made me think of this, for I have not done a large puzzle picture in years! LOL! :o)
Its as if that leave is suspended a fraction above it all... Wonderfully done.
I saw this and your previous image within moments of each other, and I love the effects you've brought to each of them. This does have a wonderful, fantasy-type feel to it, especially since the leaf does seem to float in a way that leaves don't float. That adds to the image, wonderfully, and I think that the background, non-highlighted elements of this piece work in a great way simply because the textures and various forms are rich and diverse. There's something of interest in every quadrant of this image. Great work!
