Description
. . . and I do hope this WILL remind you of summer! :)
We're just a little more than three weeks away from the solstice, and then we'll start "coming out of the tunnel." It will still be cold here for another few months, but at least the days will be getting longer. So enjoy this bit of last summer's beauty while winter descends on those of us in the Northern hemisphere!

I love that, we don't get thistles much out in the desert! (But plenty of puns!)
Beautiful capture and colours, excellent.
Love your title!!! And it's funny, I always have this kind of picture in my mind of that same tunnel. Once the solstice passes, I feel better, knowing the days will start getting longer. Course the weather starts getting nastier, but at least there's more light!! And thistle make you happier, I know!!! (I couldn't resist!!)
Wonderful capture, love the pink color and a white tips. Cool postwork too.
Beautiful shot but cold?? I have been looking a long time into moving to the Pacific Northwest (Oregon/Washington State) because I thought the winters were mild and the summers not too hot. And everything wonderfully grey and misty. Am I wrong?
I am fascinated by whatever you did here. The effect is nice, (but I don't understand it)
i also am intrigued by what you`ve done here .an excellent reminder of summer :o)..roll on spring lol mick
wonderful work Tara warms me up it is cold blanket time sweet day to you warm hug, Linda
neat post work
Beautiful work!!
Thanks Tara...this morning I woke up and there's 5" of snow and more on the way...and by the way the grand baby is going to be a girl.
Such a lovely shot of a thistle. And yes it reminds so sweet of a warm summerday. Beautiful postwork too :)
great shot. the color is outstanding
Excellent picture. I hated these things. The summer of 1980, as part of my job with a small farmer/cattle rancher, was when it rained or something important did not need to be done, I had to walk the cow pastures with a pump up sprayer and kill thistles! It was not hard to tell who was bottom ranch hand... :) I no longer hold animosity toward them!... :) lol... Todd
gran macro excelente amiga
I like the effect you have given the picture:-) Very pretty colours with a lovely composition.
Great job, Tara. Wonderful postwork
Thanks Tara but for me, I have the snow and cold weather in north french, so, I like your picture, reminds me the sun and good weather ;) Good day and smile :)
A great play on words, and a wonderful shot!
Fabulous image!
Very Nice!!!
Oh Tara, splendid effect for this superb composition and this color is wonderfull!
Thistle while you work... Terrific variety of textures in this macro of the colorful specimens in a state of repose, Tara. And, wah, it's still early fall around here, and, other than the low hanging sun, there is no sign of any winter solstice approaching. In fact, there are still some hardy souls taking their early morning walks clad in only T-shirts and thin pants.
Beautiful, excellent capture and work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
fantastic macro, brava
This is so very incredibly gorgeous with its royal violet color and fabulous pov.

Fantastic image!!
