Description
Christmas kettle is the Salvation Army's most famous street campaign all over the world, a tradition started in 1894, in San Francisco, by Captain Joseph McFee.
The Salvation Army is most recognized during the Christmas season through its volunteers who stand outside of businesses and play or sing Christmas carols, or ring bells to inspire passersby to place donations inside red kettles.
My entry for the holiday tradition contest.

Nice portrait, though as a trumpet player, I have to point out that the right hand should be a bit further forward and rotated side-to-side a bit more to get the fingers in the right place.
