Description
It has trees inside, anyway. A real geodesic truss, courtesy of topmod, and toss in the thinned and smoothed icosahedron. Go ahead and intersect the glass primitive geodesic with a negative sphere so that between truss members are planar sheets of glass and nice round holes, very sharp edged.
Oh - and 36 big toothy shapes. Tusks, perhaps. 72 spotlights, 12 radial lights.
In a big park, with metallic landscaping, at night. Good thing it's not raining as (a) it would take forever to render and (b) might be slippery, and I'm not buying insurance.
Enjoy!

Outstanding, as always... Idea, modelling, light... Great
Beatiful...
Sure is very colorful!
Beautiful design and excellent render.
Always amazing lighting from you and the model is cool. Not sure how cost effective the toothy pillars are but they do add interest to the structure. Nicely done!
Now I like this one a LOT! Excellent Jim ...
Splendid render
A real great light effect!
The shadows from those eighty-four lights make the scene. But isn't it time the quadrille paper was retired? Seriously, it's time to let go of Perkins & Will. And how about rendering a pentachoron next?
Awesome structure and colors my friend!!!Great as always!!!
Thanks for your comments. I like'em. nelsone: I admit -and suppose- I'll never outlive my experiences in architecture, structural design, landscape architecture or city planning, you all know that. I won't give up no matter what. I want a better and more interesting environment. You might want to see http://www.jjlg.com/galleries/bigLand/pages/geod001c3a.php because it has no quadrille pattern, and you're inside. Maybe I should have left the bump map at zero, I admit. It would be an easy exercise to change the material of the infinite plane. I'm totally open to suggestions!
nice one Jim!
