Description
I have arrived safely back to Prague for a couple of weeks, and it's definitely NOT summer here. It was snowing when I landed. I checked in to the hostel I stayed at previously and was immediately taken for drinks by friends who happen to work at the hostel...well, I was also FED by the cleaning lady who is convinced that I don't eat enough...when she gets to know you, she FEEDS you, which isn't bad since she's a great cook. After eating, the beer consumption commenced, and particularly early this morning, I managed to go out and take some shots of the city. This is the first of THOSE shots, and it's special to me because I didn't realize just how much I MISSED Prague's cobblestone streets.
As always, thank you for viewing and commenting, and hopefully you're all having a great week!

Hey, welcome to Prague Chip!!! Heh, nice texture and I'll try to use it in my work, will give you credit for that...Excellent capture, have fun!!!
Lovely shot. Smooth and simple and yet you have captured some mood here. For me it shows you feel at home there, it conveys the feeling of safety and common things. Very good image, Chip.
Fantastica foto amigo+++5
Glad you explained all that. Once I heard the libation had commenced I thought maybe this pov of the street was more one of neccesity and not choice. :-) Wonderful shot and the gleam on the stone is very warm and inviting.
Fantastic shot and presentation!
So simple, very effective. The lighting is perfect upon the wet cobblestones.
this is really gorgeous, never thought about making a shot of a street
It looks so real... Excellent image!!
What a great shot, and even more great knowing what your friends had been up to!! Sounds like you got a very warm welcome!!
Excellent capture and lighting here, a superb photo!
Incroyable texture et une impression d´inclinaison! Lovely story also!
This great shot with it's wonderful lighting makes me hungry...I feel like making chocolate brownies right now....rows and rows of them.....
A great shot! Something you don't see around here for sure. I like the shiny look of it and the light bouncing off... Looks like something to touch (If that makes any sense?)
This stands alone in its simplicity. Sometimes thats all we need. To come back to earth.
Cool and quaint capture Chip :o) ....and mangia !!!
Excellent image! I never would have thought to shoot that, but it's just perfect. Nicely seen!
very nice shot...the light is lovely ...its just perfect....excellent work...
Perfect light and shimmer on these cobble stones, Chip. A wonderful capture. So glad you have met up with friends and good souls who are happy to look after you. This is good news indeed. Have a wonderful evening. Be happy! Hugs. Di. xx
As one who grew up in Europe so long ago, this makes me a bit homesick, and reminds me of the many times I have walked on such stones (now getting rare).
Oh Chip, such marvelous shot very graphic! This texture is sublim and also this POV.... a GREAT shot my friend!;-)
Lovely texture, chip. I love the look of them all wet and shiny. I can see why you missed those streets!
Just a lovely capture! I love the perspective of this image..... and the texture is wonderful as well. The lighting is superb and the way the little road is reflected upon makes for an interesting view and interpretation for the eye. There's a desire to follow this path, and see what lies ahead, or below for that matter. Sometimes its the slightest details of a place that we dont even appreciate or stop to admire until we are forced to "miss" them. A most perfect, simple and yet stunning image!
J'entends comme la frappe de quelques pas qui résonnent sur le pavé mouillé, il fait nuit, l'été s'est endormi. Félicitation pour "The visitor" qui est au rendez-vous de la semaine. I like mint few steps that reverberate on the wet pavement, it is night, the summer has been asleep. Congratulations on "The visitor" is the watchword of the week.
Very cool shot! The light and detail are perfect! Full view is great... very well done!!
AWESOME REFLECTION
Beautiful capture Chip!
I lived in Lithuania for 3+ years on the same culinary adventure that led me here to Malaysia and the streets are the same in "old town" i had a helluva time traversing them after a few vodkas( real ankle breakers) but none the less there beautiful(; as is this shot.
