Description
Uyuni salt flats, Bolivia. I can't compete with Mousson's tiger, but Mrs. Lubner, ... my cactus is bigger than yours! :-)
They don't quite run races in these salt flats, but almost. The point is that there are about thirty to forty 4WD with tourists every day, no phone and no reservations in the hostel in the mountains, so people in the last cars to arrive sleep in the car (at about 20 celsius below, that's not so nice). That makes for a crazy race through desert and mountains, with fuel tanks and gas canisters for cooking stacked over the roof of the Toyota ... I can assure you it's scary ...

LOL! Yes, no arguement at all... your cactus is bigger than my cactus. :-) What is the name of this one, do you know? It looks so luch like the saguaro in the Sonoran desert. Those salt flats are marvelous and I did wonder if they raced cars in this one like the one in Utah that I've passed several times in my travels. I love this and the fact you are in it makes it better. Into my favs it goes. :-)
