Description

I found a few photos I shot about 10 years ago and thought I would share them with you. The shots I will be uploading are all from Ocracoke, NC. Ocracoke is one of the barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina, USA. I had risen pre-dawn to go surf fishing off the south point of the island. My destination entailed driving my 4-wheel drive truck across sand flats about ½ beyond the dune line to the surf. About an hour into my fishing a fog bank moved in that was so thick I could see only about two car lengths. After about an hour hoping the fog would lift I drove back to the beach access ramp on intuition only because I didn’t want to get caught out on the sand bar with the tide coming in. With nothing else to do, I took my camera down to the small harbor and took a couple photos as the fog finally started to lift. I had to scan these from prints because I can’t find the negatives. I brushed out some scan noise and spots on the prints.
