Description
I was at the art walk inside when I hear yelling as trucks and trailers goes by at about 25 mph. I ran outside to swee what going on and I had my camera> I turned it on and the auto focus did not work on these moveing people; so i TURNED IT OFF AND DID IT BY HAND. I not fast on focusing. Guess I need to do it fast more. I do have to turnj it off a lot of times for My camera will not focus on a lot of stuff I photo.
Anyway this truck speed by me I shot it and I saw this girl like this yelling with her hand up.
Iknow it not focus too good and the movement of the camera too. but that ok I happy with this. I reading a phot book and they say sometimes you wish this effect. I do not know. I just shot and hope for the best. Guess we all do that but some photos you like even thought it not clear.

Laughter and colour, seems a good mix to me, a fast action shot. I can hear the girls laughing and shouting, waving at everybody. The parade going by, its all there Jocko, your narrative and the shot, take us right to the action. If you are happy, that is the main thing. Great shot, it has life, you have captured that one moment in time, nobody else can catch it now. You own that moment. Bravo!!!!!

Jocko, you surely caught the lovely smile and a great sense of motion that may not have been there had autofocus been on. Sure autofocus can help with clarity and image "correctness", but give me a true artist's vision to get uniqueness, creativity, and mood! Excellent art!
I believe it is called motion blur and many find it appealing.auto focus is good sometimes but it can be a hinderance, but I generally use it unless I am shooting at infinity .looks like they are having a ball

I like the POV and blur effect in this capture, emphasizing speed. The girl, wearing a hard hat because the motorist is a wild man at the wheel, seems to be shouting for everyone to get out of the way. Either that or just happy because she's running away from home to elope with her boy friend. Oh, BTW, speed kills.
You got it just right, you can see her enthusiasm and how much fun she's having!!!
