Nikon 7900 pocket camera - hand held image.
This was my entry for the October genre challenge. I decided to post it in my gallery now that the contest is over.
This is an Orb Weaver spider. They are everywhere right now. They are as likely to build their webs on your porch as in your yard. Sometimes the main supports for their webs cam stretch a distance of over 20 feet.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Excellent macro Lee, the clarity and detail are first class. I never thought about spiders much until I saw your gallery, now I am always looking for them. I found one in the yard last week and that web was anchored about fifteen feet away on top os the shed, I couldn't believe it. Fantastic image. Bravo!!!!!
Fantastic Macro ! Ana
Amazing detail! Love the macro focus on this little beauty. Bunny
Seems to have a bit of trouble with Male Pattern Baldness... LOL Wonderful shot of a very common and aggrevating spider.
