How nice of him (or is it her) to pose for you on one leg so that you could get the perfect shot. It is great to see such detail in the feathers.

Very, very beautiful shot. Great work:-)hugs sessan
Not one of my favourite birds as I have a fish pond in the garden and I have to have a net over it, because we have a bird sanctuary about a mile away and they have over a dozen breeding pairs. I have found a couple in the garden but so far have not lost any fish to them. Fantastic shot, great clarity and detail, it looks like its posing for you. Excellent work Bravo!!!!!
The glistening bejeweled water in the background is the perfect canvass for this gorgeous capture. The one leg and the log is stands on are small but important details. Excellent shot and postwork.
Excellent work!!!
He stands so peacefully Maria, perfectly happy in your company. I have never seen a green heron in real. He is a beauty, as is your wonderful shot. Outstanding photography from you. Hugs. Diane. xx
