Description
The inspiration came from a documentary on earth quakes in Tierra del Fuego on National Geographic, always a good source of inspiration.
The telephone pole was made by mrmiley and modified by me.
Part of the cracked surface stems from Haroon's "Cracked sphere".

The sky is awesome. You may improve a lot this image with a much slower camera, and work also on scale (The telephone pole is much too big comparing to terrain shapes). Needs a bit more colors layers too. I think a 2/3 - 1/3 composition would help too, with the sky in the bigger part.

A wonderful theme....phones to nowhere....I love contrast and saturation and usually over-do-it but I think this could use a bit more of each....still a very cool image!!
