Bec Rigby is part of a family folk group from Melbourne called "New Dogs Old Tricks". She has a most distinctive voice which has an extraordinary affect on the songs she sings. I would describe it as having a 1940's - 50's quality with a combination of a clear sharp upper register with soft warm undertones. Her delivery is beautifully unaffected, every syllable lucid and the band she performs is a perfect complement to the sound and moods created. Still under 20 Bec will be a voice to follow in the years ahead. Even four days after hearing her sing "Paths of Victory" I can hear the song play over in my mind. Photography - For those who've read this far, I know it's not a great shot in terms of sharpness, but it was plenty better than the ones that were sharp. Somehow it captured the mood and I have an aversion to using a flash.
