Description
Nikon 7900 image.
In yesterdays posting, I showed a Goatweed butterfly that had just emerged from a cocoon. Today's posting gives 3 views of a Gulf Fritillary who I am sure had just emerged that day. I feel that way because it did not fly very far a time and the colors were very vibrant.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

The color is so startling. I love the pattern and you have shown it off from all povs and I am fascinated by it.

Always wonderful your captures Lee !
Fine studies of a natural wonder
Wow! You weren't kidding when you said the colours were vibrant, the left and right views are absolutely fantastic, as is the top view. The underside of the wings though with those brilliant markings are top notch. I think this would get my vote as image of the month, if not the year. Can it get any better than this? Bravo!!!!! 10+

Gorgeous! I am always amazed at the differences between the top and bottom patterns. I often would not know they were from the same flyer.
