Description
Nikon 7900 image.
I had to do some errands in town recently and when I was finished, I decided to take some back roads on the way home.
I live in a very rural area and there are lots of abandoned old home sites here and there. I investigate all I come across. On this trip, I found these bright red flowers at the edge of an old house foundation, at the end of a dead end dirt road. They grew on a bushy plant that was about chest high and used the old chimney as a support. I could not resist taking a few shots as well as a few of the baby plants. I have no idea what they are but they definitely were noticeable, lol. With any luck, they will like the new location I have moved them to.
If anyone has an idea as to what they are, I would appreciate being informed.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Beautiful image! Looks like something in the hibiscus family. Plants don't generally like to be moved when they're in bloom, but you never know.
Yes, I too was thinking of hibiscus, and the shot is a delight.........with such vibrant colour and contrasts.
What an unusual and beautiful flower, excellent shot!
It's amazing how Mother Nature doesn't know the meaning of "Dead End" and quickly reclaims her domain with such beautiful flowers. Another wonderful nature shot!
Lovely image.
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL...I DIDN'T THINK THAT HIBISCUS PLANTS WERE A VINE PLANT. YOU WERE SO SMART TO TAKE IT FOR YOURSELF.
Excellent shot.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROBY ;O):O);O):O);O):O)
It does look like a hybiscus type plant. The stamens are what leads me to believe that. Gorgeous capture. Bunny
Beauties to be sure! Good luck with the transplant. I kill anything I look at, but my Dad used to say if you moved something you needed to give it the next season to pout before it would bloom again.
OH ! A Beauty ... Fabulous Shot .
it could be a hibiscus, also called a china rose. this is a beautiful shot. good luck with the new transplant
Beautiful!
Beautiful Image!!!
so beautiful image of the flower, I took the liberty of modeling in 3d, using their textures. I tried to take and pass a moment only, when you saw the flower for the first time. This moment so can be lived by sensitive people who can see beyond the eye, can feel ... with the soul ... congratulations. sorry, but the translation was made in google (portuguese)
