Description
Nikon 7900 image.
I used to find tree frogs regularly but over the years that has occurred less and less; in fact, it has been several years since I can remember seeing one at all.
They all look pretty much alike except for some color variations. Usually they are a uniform vibrant light green with white stripes down their sides. Some are grayish with yellow stripes and occasionally I would see one that was colored much like bullfrogs with mottled shades of green instead of the uniform colors of the more common ones.
Surprisingly , a couple of days ago I came across tree frogs in two different locations. One was the uniform green with white stripes that is the most common variety and the other was the rather unusual mottled colored. Neither stayed around for more than a couple of shots.
Todays posting shows the mottled one. It is not the best image I have posted but I think it is good enough to share despite that. I will post the more common green one tomorrow.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Excellent capture of this little female. Here in Australia the Australian Greentree Frogs are being killed by the introduced Cane Toad. So they are becoming less and less seen. Ashame. Great work Lee:)

Are these the little guys who chirp at sunset? They were my Mom's favorite sound, they meant spring was coming. Very clear picture. He blends so well with his surroundings it's amazing you saw him.
