Description
Hi.
This is Mika...a recent houseguest from London, who's a real sweetheart. I took this with my new lens and flash that I got for my bday.
Anyway, I've had this pic for about a week and simply could not figure out what I liked best, the full size or this crop...LOL I hate when that happens. I'm sooooooo bad at making decisions like this sometimes. :^(
Anyhoo, thanks for any comments you may care to leave. Sorry I haven't been around all that much. Hopefully I can comment a bit now, but there's also a huuuuuuuuuuuge storm going on and the lights keep flashing on and off . 8^/
Have a great day/ evening y'all!
Always,
Marlene :^)
PS It's a Canon 50mm 1.4 portrait lens, in case you wanna know. :^)

Why don't I ever get house guests that look like this?!? Man just once...but I digress...What a little stunner she is, and look at you with your new lens and flash...I say your hubby made a good investment for you. Most women would go for bling on the BD, but you made the wise choice here. Excellent shot and treatment, she certainly does look the part! Careful with the weather, it's been the pits this year. Well done girl, I expect to see more winners like this with your talent! Aloha~
No doubt you got yourself a great lens.. Though the shadows etc are harsh here at the background.. Some side lighting will help with that.. I assume your flash was the 580 rather than studio?
Wonderful photo....!!! Beautiful and very expressive model....!!! Great detail in the hair and the fur....!!!! Splendid lighting work....!!!
I just love this shot... all is fine ! Yann
Well, isn't she a QT :o) ....totally awesome m'dear Mizzem !!!! ~ Hugs ~
Her facial expression is fantastic! What an enchanting portrait, the colors are just perfect here! Croping such beauty is always painfully.
Beautiful portrait !
Wow, I've never seen anyone in real life that looks like a porcelen doll... amazing.
Yeah. That is what I said when I saw your portrait! Great Make up and so cool attitude from your model. Successful shot!
Great portrait...
Great portrait! I love the compo and her make up is cool too!!!! Bravo Marlene!!!
I love the pale skin and the strong lighting and shadow. High fashion beauty!
Outstanding portrait! Marvelous girl!
Wow!! Superb contrast AND lush tones!! You are amazing!
I've never really studied fashion work, but marlene, this is a stunning photograph. Really it's 3 exquisite planes: the beautiful texture of the coat (2 planes), which swirls around her in a kind of 'river-bend'. And you caught some of the fur in beautiful shimmer... And then her body itself, which, because of your lighting and attention to hues, is in stunning contrast to the dark, mysterious hues of the fur. And of course it emerges into her face, which you've captured with a flush-forward lighting—a musical movement from torso to face. If you oversee make-up, it's all in perfect harmony with the colors: Her face is shaded in just the right amounts of red. Finally, her hair & shadow all flow with the fur; and the close red background brings it all forward, makes it intimate, almost a closet-shot, a private moment of anticipation...A musical, stark, bursting and ultimately caring shot. I assume this is an art to itself...
