Like riding a bicycle, you have to get back up and get on with things. This weekend we acquired two ferrets. The senior crew were decidedly in need of some distraction as were we. We definitely got it now. The Moose (Slipper Boy) is 5 months old. Sometimes people just don't like albinos and they hang around pet stores forever. This guy is definitely big, fluffy, friendly, smart and moosical. Despite his size, he is still just a new 5-month old ferret just out of a pet store and on very unfamiliar ground... that's this week's agenda... The Mouth (no name yet) is 8 weeks old and, like his nickname, all mouth... especially when the 'hazing' starts. However, he is very feisty and can hold off Lilith. Sgt. Goober is a bit rougher and more persistent. The Moose just retreats and hides if he can. He can hold his own, but would rather flee. Yes, Flotsam and Jetsam are still with us. They are convinced they'd be able to clear the house out if we let them try... my money would not be on the cats. Uh-oh... gotta run. I hear 'Mouth Music' from downstairs. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
