Description
This is a shot of me, trudging up the last bit to the top of Mt St Helens. After scrambling over the rocks for hours, the final ascent is on this loose gravel and pumice, and it really is a case of taking a step forward and sliding half a step back. I was pretty well exhausted by the time I got to the top.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

That loose gravel can sure add to the difficulty of climbing this mountain. Such an amazing and beautiful view of that mountain behind you. My hats off to you and your hiking crew. Excellent job. Aloha
Looks like it would be pretty easy to slip and do a face plant in that loose rock. Yikes! I'm totally impressed that you did this hike, my friend! Have I thanked you lately for all the hard work you do in order to bring us these shots? If not . . . THANK YOU!!!
Excellent shot. You are a glutton for punishment it seems. However, the rewards prove to be worth your huge climbing effort. Thanks for sharing this hike.

You wore shorts while climbing on those big nasty rocks and this scree ...you are a brave man indeed. I think I would want my knees covered for greater protection. You certainly had a fantastic view behind you. WOW!
Right about here is where you were wishing you had arranged for a helicopter to pick you up and take you back to the car! Whew, that looks like WORK! At least you are paid with amazing sights! Love that cloud-sea :)
