Description
Hey hey.... :^D
First, let me thank you for all the bday wishes I received. Thank you!!!! I can't tell you how happy that made me. You guys are soooo great, no doubt about it! :^)
In particular, I'd like to thank Akemi, Dave, Kai, Kort, Piet, Jodie, Soffia and Kimmie for their beautiful and heart-warming dedications. It's a joy to me to know each and every one of you. I hope you know how much your thoughtfulness meant to me, and how very much I value your friendship.
:^X
I also want to thank Miranda, for her, ahem,*cough choke*, lol, 'happy' bday thread in the forum. It was great fun and it brightened my day so much! :^D

Okay....now about this pic... As some of you are aware, my bday coincided with a full moon and an eclipse, as well. The night before, I took this shot of the moon, and even though it's not as great as it could be, I was thrilled because it's was my first successful shot of it. Anyway, I was playing with it, and also with another high key pic of my old mug, when I thought I'd see how they looked merged....This is the result. Hope you like it...
I wouldn't call this the most original thing I've ever done; this type of image has certainly had many, many predecessors... It's just my 'take' on this theme. If you'd like to see where my particular inspiration for this came from...take a
wee lookie here:

I would also call your attention to a recent upload by "Gunsan", an incredibly talented artist, here at RR, that I have great admiration for...She seems to have been equally inspired by the gorgeous moon we've had these last few days...
Till next time, wishing all of you many, many moons...
Marlene :^)
PS Thanx for your wonderful response to my last:

my kind of moon, nice work!!
Finally, a well and good mooning. It is about time. ;']
he , he ...very nice work almost sexy....today will go better to see the stars.
very clever. nice work.
As the song goes, it had to be moon glow... Now we have the woman in the moon going through either a bout of depression or having an orgasm...can't tell which. In any event, a wonderful concept you conjured up from your eclipse photo, Marlene. I like the gossamer and shadow effects in this creation. And Happy Birthday, my dear!
beautiful montage ..........
beautiful art work you have created.looks like mother nature bringing on a wintery blast of cold air
You know I've always seen a woman's face in the moon and now I know it must be you!!!!! Excellent merge!!! Maybe the breathing in & out is what controls the tides?? I'm a believer!!!!!!! Bravo again my friend, for another incredible creation!!!! Keep em coming!!!!! Now you've got us all anticipating... hugs...;-)

Gunsun is indeed an awesome artist who has my admiration and loyalty. You are also doing some great work and this, in particular, is inspiring art. Excellent. And belated Bday. I'm not very good on celebrations and stuff...don't even mark my own Bday if I can help it so I guess I just didn't get my Bday wish out when I should have. :-)
nicely done
Mah...

Sooo...the moon has many faces ( look at my latest) I don't know if the eclips was seen in Sweden, here was a cloudy night. I again wish you a belated BD and hope the day was so wonderful you deserve, sötnos!!!
Original idea and realisation!
and me and me in the forum ??? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL It'0s a jock :))) Excellent work and I feel me like that, my head in the moon to looking a star like you :)))))))) Fantastic my lady dear and hugssssssssssssss :D
Nice work...
Your a luney! :P I like how it looks like her very breath creates the clouds- and how it has a purple tint rather than just B&W. Great shot of the moon- was this with a telephoto lens, or just zoomed in and cropped? I have yet to get a shot of the moon that shows any detail- I dont think either of my two lenses are up for it without some extensions or help... Killer composition Marlene! And I also do not know what "Mah.." means... I think its good though?
A superb work, Marlene. I like this a lot :-) A blast from the icy maiden's breath!! Marvelous :-) Diane.
