Description
I went to the hall that my images was hanging. It where plays and fine classic music is played. It where the upper class people go to. It a place that only a artist is invited to show they work. I can just hang two images at a time and it will hang there for 6 months and then I have to take them out and put in new ones. Hopeimg to sell. They told me no one selling right now. I meet one local stock broker and he told me he will not buy any local art. I was painting his office so I say nothing to him. I say to myself "I buy no stock from a local stock broker." There is a local artist here that got the Louisiana Duck Stamp this year or was it last year?. Guess the stock broker will not buy his work. Doing Duck Stamps images for the contest is a diff art than mine is. lol I off the subject sorry.
Anyway I came into the hall and find my images I had up and I photo this one as I finded it up against the glass bricks. I then move it to the water place and took a photo there. I like them both and post it here for I thought the painted face among the other art work and how diff it looks.
I just wonder what the rich thought as they saw this. I thought for sure it would sell for they have plays there like "Cats" and many others; it like a painted face for a play.. I need to go and see one play one day.

Super capture and collage!!!
You should have said it! Great shot of your work Jock! Best of luck selling!
Nice one Jock :)
Great pic. I hope you can sell....and show your art to other people. Hugs
The road to selling art is always a long one - keep going - I like them but then I've not got much money ;)
Ah! I wish I could remember the movie your story made me think of. A man and his wife were entertaining some very "high brow" people. He was a painter, and a good one. In one scene, someone noticed the artist's paintings, and all the upper class guests were in an uproar about it. It was beautiful, innovative, a must have! They offered high prices, everybody wanted to buy it! "How much do you want for it? We simply must have it!" He was really overcome by this love for his art, and as he stammered to think of a price, somebody asked, "And who is the artist?" When he humbly said, "I did it", nobody wanted it. He was a 'nobody', a local artist. That was just a movie, but look how true it is that in real life, people get so caught up in "names" and "stature". A crock of malarkee! You keep doing what you're doing, Jocko! Forget these snooty people. You make many of us happy with your art and your stories. WE love you and appreciate you! :D
Do the two snobs eat the local food ? Do they sleep with the local Broker ? One thing is for sure Jocko............Black is Black and Gray is Gray.........I learned long ago that Bull Shit is Bull Shit no matter which way you slice it. No head doctor required to figure this out.
Art in Shreveport sucks for the most part, in my oppion. I never can figure out what SRAC wants. They told me that my art was unimaginative. Imagine that. I dont fool with them anymore. Your art is cool or no one would comment!
I like this piece very much it stands out far above the other pieces. I think it's grand that you show your Art in so many different settings. Some day it will all come together for you and I can say I knew you when lol.
Good luck Jocko, I like this kind of art a lot, its the sort of thing that would look really good in a dark nightclub under fluorescent lighting, it would look very cool!!
I don't know Jock .. but I can't see any of that other stuff hanging on my walls. But I can see your painted face hanging here in my house. Like everyone else, I think your work is awesome. And I think that you will start selling your art. Exposure it the biggest hurtle, and you are able to show your work in a lot of different places. Time, that's all you need. As for that stupid broker, you should have told him outloud that you wouldn't buy stock from a local broker, either. The guy was a snobbish turd anyway, LOL, and doesn't deserve to have anything of yours in his house.
It is good that you have an oppurtunity to show your work.I am now trying to get some of my work displayed in a bookstore just so that people will get to see it.
Excellent ! Good day :)
You are unique my friend ! Genial.
