Yes, definitely worth the effort. I like the second much better; can see the details of the island much better. The only downside--if it is that--is that the sailboat is now so small (although more correctly proportioned to the buildings) that one really can't tell what it is. Having said that, I'd have done the same, if it were my picture. What if you enlarged the buildings and the sailboat? Just an idea.
