Description
Nikon 7900 image.
This image is about 3 months old. I have no idea what kind of a plant it is and never saw one like it before. I found it while wandering around 25 acres of woodland I call home and I intended to follow up a day or so later and see what it looked like then but could never find it again, lol.
I did not find a July weed to photograph but I got a nice August one for tomorrow.
Thanks to those who take the time to comment.

Another one of natures wonders...and a nice image....
This is an incredible find. You took a great shot of it, whatever it is. Too bad it disappeared. I would have loved to have seen what it turned into. This is a great shot of a very strange plant.
What a great capture!
Great colours and light here.. Excellent macro
That is spectacular! I have never seen anything like it, I am guessing that it is rather small but it looks something like the outer of a pineapple. Hope you find another one and are able to follow its progress. The capture and lighting are top notch! Bravo!!!!
great work.
Interesting indeed! Looks like a little alien...lol.
This is a great shot of a really intriguing , (unknown-to-me) plant.
Very nice work.
Really wonderful. It reminds me of wild garlic?
Unusual and beautiful. Superbly captured... and yes it does look like wild garlic, but I couldn't say for sure. Bunny
it is very beautiful Lee and your capture is superb
Very cool looking plant!

Nice shot, think they're cool looking at that stage. I've seen lots of them they're wild onions. Erszebet
