Hi everyone. I have spent a few days on holiday in Toronto in recent weeks and just got around to downloading the pictures from my camera. During my holiday I took the time to practice some night photography.
Here is a night shot of the posh shopping district called Yorkville. This is an area of Toronto between Bay Street and Avenue Road just north of Bloor Street.
Yorkville was once (in the 60's) a home and hang out for poor but talented artists like Joni Mitchell. Who, while working as a waitress, was told to not give up her night job as a broke folk artist. 'Prettiest, worst waitress in all of Toronto', one of her contemporaries confided at a free concert recently.

Very nice night shot for sure. This area looks really amazing and like a place I'd love to visit.
Neil Young and Rick James, among others, were also staples of Yorkville back in the late '60s. I live in Nashville, but my mom still lives a few blocks from where this shot was taken. In fact, I ate at that very sushi bar last June with my friend Twinkie! Thanks for the great shot!

Great shot, and I should mention that I was in Yorkville just last weekend to see some friends. It can get a little pricey these days (at least considering my funds!) but it's nice to go there once in a while regardless.

Fantastic shot! I used to go up to Toronto in the late 60's and 70's all the time to buy bellbottom jeans, LOL! It was the coolest place. Must go again someday.

awesome night capture of the street life.I recall eating at a Chinese buffet on the east side of Toronto that requires reservations.first time for reservations in a buffet, but the food was outstanding and worth the wait
