THE PLAGUE - BOOK COVER Again this is a payed commissioned artwork (and layout) from one of my customers for an English book cover. This is was my first proposal for the cover... and my customer like it as it was! :) The Decorative Alphabet by jaguarwoman (colors revised by me) was a great help for the title. This was the brief from my client: Archaeologist Jane carter and her young assistant and a French treasure hunter find a coffin inside a chamber buried in the Antarctica ice. It is taken to a secret military base were it is studied. The next day she learns the truth about the coffin and what lay in side of it. A wooden chest containing an ancient book wrote by a secret English organization. Within the text lay a sophisticated code. Along with this book lay the last infected rat infected with the plague. Evidence that the French treasure hunter opened the chest and stole the dead frozen rat as he entered the chamber comes to light as well as him selling the frozen rat to a British born terrorist living in America. Within hours people are dieing on the streets of New York city, infected rats are seen swarming the city in their hundreds.
