Description
We couldn't stay at the top of the trail for very long, because the wind was just fierce. I like to wear my pack with a gap between it and my back for some ventilation. But when I was up here, I had to cinch it tight against me, because the wind was catching it and threatening to knock me down. I don't mean to overdramatize, but I would estimate it at around 60 mph.
You can see that there isn't much of a trail here, but we managed. Deb is not really carrying that big rock, it's just a trick of the angle. We don't need souvenirs that big. :-)
Thanks for looking and any comments. I'm glad people are enjoying this series.

Just beautiful. How exciting... and I bet coming down was a bit sad. Wonderful shot with an incredibly amazing view.
Now is Deb taking a photo of you taking a photo of her LOL??? Another superb view Dennis. I just can't believe the colour of the sky, so blue! I can imagine the wind being so strong at such an altitude and I'm pleased you were cautious - we may never have such this fine series had you been slightly complacent. A wonderful scenery and sad to see you coming back down as this brings us close to the end of your series. Hugs. xx
I am with Chrissy here. 60mph is strong! You both must be super fit! A great series, thanks for sharing with us.
Lovely composition:)
Just nice!
Beautiful adventure you're having ... and it's only half over, right? Take care on the way down and keep sending these marvelous photos.
Another great shot. This series has been a thrill to see.
Great POV! It's a little mountain all on it's own. Will we get to see Deb's photo, as well? ;)
I don't know, that rock might make a nice bit of landscaping in your back yard! I have been wondering what sort of trail you have been following for a couple of days, now I know... you are just wandering about :)
Another "Dennis Special" - another outstanding photo. Were the butterflies up this high fighting the high winds?
Excellent and very impressive shot, the POV is fantastic. Thanks for sharing!
Great shot...
i enjoyed this series very much, fabulous shot
Una hermosa montaƱa, yo no creo que pudiera subir!!
Your descriptions are always so whimsical! I bet you guys are a trip even when you aren't hiking L This shot is so crisp and clear .. the contrast between the snow and the mountain and the sky is just awesome! (glad you clarified that she was not carrying that rock lol) Way to Go Deb and Dennis!
We are enjoying this series!! 60mph??? that's enough to knock you off your feet?!!! Well JCV2 of the northwest, ever onward!!!
You so silly. Heck, she'd probably get arrested for carrying off a rock like in Hawaii. I'm glad you are coming down. I know you didn't (cause the hike is over) but I keep thinking you are gonna fall off that thing.
