Description
Another shot taken at Wight's in Lynnwood.
I loved the colors in the original shot, but the way the form of the flower jumps out in the b&w made me really happy, as well. I couldn't decide, so you get to see them both!
Notice that the image is really tall. If you open this in full view, you'll be able to see both shots at 1024x768-ish.

Gorgeous comparisons. I like both, but the desaturation really sets off the bloom. Excellent capture. Bunny
Oh Tara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That beautiful work, fantastic!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A wonderful week for you!!
gorgeous shot, i like the B/W very much, i can see why you posted the two as I would have trouble deciding which i like best also
either way they are winners. very beautiful flowers
Both are equally beautiful. Excellent work. Aloha
Fantastic in B&W or in color, awesome image!!!
Both are beautiful. The 2nd shows off the beautiful complexity of color in this flower, while the B/W version, IMHO, looks more romantic. Excellent capture, Tara.
Oh, WWWWWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. The red shows reds, pinks, yellow, oranges...........absolutely gorgeous, and the black and white seems so emphasise the tissue quality of those delicate petals. Both are quite wonderful! 5***** for each! Brava
Both are gorgeous ;)
Both are very nice.....Thanks for doing both.
I like both of them very nice....
I'm glad you chose to show both, they each have a beauty all to themselves!! excellent!!!!!
Both views have there advantages. I like them.
Both are nice, but whenever I see a comparison like this I always pick the one with color. It's a good thing I don't need to make a living as a B&W photographer LOL.
nice pic and well composed ! about the BW, may be you could enhance the treatment to preserve the transparency and the softness of the flower...
Very nice... both versions! Excellent!
OHH TARA ! Thank you for uploading both of them, because each seperated are wonderful. He colors are gorgeous indeed, but the shapes and light in the grayscale are just as lovely. Whole 2 in one YYYAY !!! :) 5*
nearly snap ... :)
great image
Very beautiful shot!!
Wow beautiful. I am not sure which one l Like better the blacka and white or the color. They are both very nice in this one
Well, Libras can't ever decide either :o) love 'em both !!! ~ Hugs ~
Great combo this morning TT. Adds interest to the eye to include both. Love that orange/coral for Monday. I find black and white harder than color to achieve. Have you found that? Have a wonderful day my friend Hugs :)
WOW, Tara I like this thanks for the smile warm hug, Linda
This is one of the few times I will say that I like the b/w better than the color. It comes across very well with good strong contrast. Excellent.
Very good like both versions, but the colour one is the best! Well done!
Quite good idea. Bravo !
Not all picture translates into B&W but this one does and I like the B&W one. For the same reason PJ taked about. Plus the fact that I love B&W photography.lol
I like them equally well. The black and white for its POV, contrast, clarity, lighting and petal swirls; the bottom photo for the same qualities, plus the lovely colors. Superlative capture, Tara!
Both are very beautiful Tara because you have captured it so well! I think that the b/w emphasises how delicate and fragile those petals are, while the colour version........well, what superb and gorgeous colour it is! Great work!!
