Description
This is a climbers' shelter at about 7000 ft (2100 m). Except for the trail itself, it's the last hint of human interference we'll see on this hike.
Thanks for stopping by and any comments.

Great capture....
Wow! Man that looks like a lot work.
I'll Huff and I'll Puff your house right down. Good to see a shelter like this to protect you from all the elements that can happen. Excellent shot. Aloha
Even has iron guttering. Great capture:)
Human interference that doesn't detract from the natural scenery ... what a concept! Very nice capture.
This is awesome .... nice to have a safe dry place to sweat in L great shot
Really a superbly capture...bravissimo!:DDD.Hugsxx
Such an interesting and well-built shelter! This is very cool. (And a nice shot, too!) I'm so glad you take your camera when you go out. I get to see such wonderful sights I wouldn't normally get to see!
What a neat stone shelter. Looks like it will stand up to the elements. Thanks for showing us.
Fabulous shot. The rock rest station is certainly one to withstand whatever comes along. From your pov it seems so isolated. I bet this gets good use though.
Whoa! This rocks! After seeing last week's hiking pics, I can understand why this shelter was needed.
What a great shot of this very interesting structure. Well done!
Great capture , superb photo . I wouldn't mind spending my holydays in there, really!
A magnificent stone shelter and you have captured the colours and textures beautifully Dennis. Love the blue sky too. xx

That's a great bit of stonework. And well captured.
Una hermosa casita!!! Bien hecho!!!
Last outpost huh? Sit and rest awhile cause you won't get another chance? Very good shot. Pretty building too. I like looking at other people's pictures cause they are great, but they bring up my own memories too. I always wanted a rock house. :~)
