Hello !
Standing above the Harbour is something I remember from I was a little girl. I didnt think about my pure joy taking a view there, but later in my life, I understood what I felt then. I tried to catch the same joy, severel times standing there, but it wasnt the same feeling. It couldnt be, because my thoughts are not the same pure and without reservation as when I was child. :)) SIGH! It will never come back. But I remember :)

Have a wonderful day.....hmpf! We planned to go to picnic today, but the weather isnt very nice and very windy, so we better stay home... so it will be paintingday for my grandchildren and cartgames and so.

A marvelous view -- I'm sure it brought back some fond memories. Maybe your feelings and thoughts aren't the same, but the new feelings are just as important in your life. Treasure them, for they are what you have grown into.

Being able to remember is very good, while one should also understand that trying to recapture those feelings would mean replaying that particular day in your life, but then that would be science fiction. Can we ever feel the same emotions again? I think not! We grow wiser with age and with each passing day a little innocence is lost to reason no matter how much one may think to be an idealist or a romantic. It is like the boats in the harbor, there are mostly of modern design, except for the little vessel with a red trim, remaining true to its past and traditions. Thank you for sharing. egmont
