Description
By some quirk, coincidence or miracle, Martin and I both had the day off today! (It's still Friday the 27th here.) We thought it would be fun, on the spur of the moment, to drive up to Bellingham via Chuckanut Drive. We took the scenic route home across Deception Pass and down Whidbey Island. It took us seven hours because we dawdled, but that's sort of the whole point, and we had a great time!
On the way out we stopped at the store, got a few things for a picnic, and off we went. Larrabee State Park seemed like a good place for lunch. I took the camera and hiked down to the beach (Samish Bay) and took a bunch of pictures.
Best I can tell from my Gazetteer, this is a view of Lummi Island, looking out across Samish Bay.
I took about three hundred photos today, so I'll be subjecting you to more of this sort of thing. I hope you're sitting down: I didn't take a single macro shot all day!
