Description
The cliffs of Moher was one of the most majestic sights of my trip around Ireland. The cliffs rise up in County Clare and this place despite the gloomy day took my breath away with the sheer drops down to the sea some 720 ft just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres away.
The cliffs boast one of Ireland's most spectacular views. On a clear day the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara.. They were building a multi million tourist centre when I was there, I just hope they do not spoil the place...

Incredible scenery - 720Ft huh :o - I was worried getting near enough the edge to get the ligthouse shot I posted and I was at least 10ft from the edge, they were 300ft.

The Irish coast is on my wishlist of places I want visit along with the isle of skye. The scale of those cliffs is amazing!

Just awesome!! I have never been to Ireland although I want to, it has yet to happen. So first of all thank you for bringing a little bit of Ireland to me. Great pov, I like how the path runs along the top of the cliffs and you can see people walking along, really gives the shot perspective. I think also the mistyness(is that a word?) adds atmosphere & mood. This has to be on my itinary, if I ever manage to get there. Bravo!!!!! Thanks again for sharing.
