Description
One of the things I love most about these eagles is the amazing changes the bird exhibits as it matures from the amazing bright colours with a Red face as an adult to Brown when a juvenile, to this green faced mid tones of a bird around 6 years old
The Bateleur (Terathopius ecaudatus) is a medium-sized eagle in the bird family Accipitridae which also includes many other diurnal raptors such as buzzards, kites and harriers. It is the only member of the genus Terathopius and probably the origin of the "Zimbabwe bird", national emblem of Zimbabwe.
Once again thanks for taking time to look and any comments you care to make

A magnificent looking bird, Danny, and as always a supurb shot!
It is a funny eagle! :)
A beautiful eagle. The feather colors are so pretty. I like his head feathers.
He's all fluffed up and gorgeous! Beautiful shot! (:
It seems redundant for me to chime in my 2 cents worth, but as all these fine folks said....IT'S JUST FLAT OUT EXCELLENT! I love the colors and the eye so clear. :o)b
so pretty and clear!
I have seen this expression in sci-fi movies. The original has a lot more color and diversity. This is the look of lyceum while climbing a steep street of cobbles. For an eagle, such a school is unthinkable.
Always interesting comments with your captures ! Thanks Danny...
