Description
I shot this with my film camera. I hope the colors is right. I had to get a purple haze off the image. The same woth the other bird I uploaded. The brids may be off color a little but not much.
I had my film camera and the 200mm lens on. I was close to the bird and I tried to walk a little closer but the bird started to walk away from me. So I shoot the bird before he walked in the shadows. I thought I leave him his his nature
still wonder what cause the purple hazes on the film.
thanks for looking and comments

I like this bird shot better. The bird seems content in the shade, just waiting for dinner to swim by.

A wonderful bird shot, jock. I love the colours and the way the willow branch drapes down to the water. Smashing work. Hugs. Di.
Another great shot capturing wild life in its own habitat. Good one Jock.
Good shot. A nice profile. They are timid, aren't they?
Gorgeous bird, jocko!
Hey, I know what that is! It's the bluebird of happiness! Those birds are easily spooked, Jock. You have to quietly crawl up to them on your stomach to take a photo. And, I don't know, maybe it's me, but I don't see any strong purplish effects in this shot. Possibly a slight hint of it on the bird and water.
Luck you didn't totally scare him away, happens to me all the time...DRAT ! The blue might be a chemical reaction on the flim emulsion and the humid swamp atmosphere ? Great blue bird capture though, well done Jock ! ~Cheers~ :o)
Wonderful capture Jock! What a great bird! :)

Nice capture. Aloha
It's "riders of the purple sage" not purple haze, Jock. I like this effect. It's natural I know. But you got to see it. Must be some end of the uv tunnel phenomena.
This is a fantastic shot of a beautiful colored bird
Nice capture...!!!!
